Interested in becoming a Trimmer?
In order to join The Trimmers in City of Heroes we need to get to
know you and the only way we can do that is by grouping with you.
What are we looking for?
Trimmers are always looking for new friends to enjoy online gaming
with. We are not looking for the most elite or most highly skilled
players. Instead we are looking for mature adults who enjoy cooperating
with a well organized team. So if you enjoy teamwork and good company,
you've come to the right place.
What are we not looking for?
People who primarily solo would, for obvious reasons, find little
reason to be in the Trimmers. Also if you are looking for the most
elite group of players or players who's sole purpose is to power level
themselves and you as quickly as possible, this is not the right place
for you.
The Trimmers are an adult guild.
Sorry kids! The Trimmers have an age requirement. You must be at
least 18 years of age or older and you must show the maturity level of
a polite, thoughtful, well mannered adult.
How do I join?
If you are interested in joining, you need to group up with
Trimmers/Operatives on a regular basis so that we can all get to know
each other and determine if it is a good fit for all parties. In order
to group just contact any of the following people when you're online,
either through global chat tells, or an ingame eMail:

I wanted to be an Operative! What's a Trimmer anyways?
The Operatives are a Supergroup run by the Trimmers. The Trimmers
are a multi-gaming guild that was started in Planetside in 2003 and
eventually spanned out into other games. In order to become an
Operative, you must first be a Trimmer. Not all Trimmers play
Operatives, but all Operatives are members of the Trimmers.
How long does it take to join?
It simply depends on how much we get to group with you and how well
we get to know you. Normally this process takes about a week, but it
can sometimes take only days and it can sometimes take several weeks.
What Server are you on?
Both the Trimmers and the Operatives supergroups are located on the Virtue server.
