    Post-BC Tourism

I am only level 65 on my main, but since returning to the game I have become aware of how much I missed.  Specifically there are a bunch of instances I have never seen.  Ahn-Qiraj, Zul-Gurrub, BWL, most of MC, Onyxia (went once).

I was just reading in the WoW forums that 3-5 70s can clear MC.  Naturally I expect this is assuming 3-5 70s wearing tier 311 gear and not me in what will be my high quality blue items.

Still, we have been joking that Morch needs to turn mobs into something other than sheep which requires a ZG run (Morch says it will be after he gets his PvP gear, you know how loot obsessed he is *pleasedontbanme* :P).

Given the fact that many of us are very busy (Kard and Morch are busy spawning the next generation of Trimmers, Braedan and I have time devouring jobs, etcetera) I am hoping we can do some relaxing runs for fun.  Heck, I wouldn't even mind going back to Scholomance or Strathmore one more time just to MELT DA FACES of my old foes (I admit when I hit 60 the first thing I did was go to silverpine and kill the wandering Son of Arugal for 2 hours).

So, I just wanted to put this idea out there.  Barring when I am a sleepyfish (most weeknights) if I am on I am usually ready to do an instance.  If anyone else would like to go into some of these old instances I am definately game.

    Especially Zul'Gurrub, it looks gorgeous.

Edit: I found this link:   http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/bcattunement/

    Seems apropos

    Re: Post-BC Tourism

we could also try and farm Naxx, as i believe thats where you get the quest and pieces for the Legendary caster staff, which also has the ability to TP the grp to Kara, which is what seems to be the thing right now =)

but im up for any of these, as i only saw UD Strat once, and Scholo twice, then did the BC stuff. i wouldnt mind doing the old world big dungeons some time (i might have to do all the attunement stuff tho, which might need help from those that did it before)

I hear that Kard. I am kinda of obsessed with rare mounts myself.  I would run ZG and UD Strat until I turn blue in the face if I can eventually drop one of those mounts. I am also into rare pets so I tend to make long farming runs for a rare pet drop (current project..hyacinth Macaw and disgusting oozling).  My recent absence from the Horde side should end in the next month or so as my "Alliance only" winterfrost saber mount grind is in its final obnoxiously time consuming stages.

As far as other instances I've missed out on ALL of the old raid instances except one ZG run with Ever.  I would love to experience any of them with the trimmers.

    Re: Post-BC Tourism

Hello again all, I may not be a Trimmer anymore, but I was looking into doing just this kind of tourism and so decided to poke my head into some forums to see what other people thought.  If you guys do happen to plan some runs like this, let me know and I'll try to make at least some of them.  And if you want to do such a run spontaneously (or just need a fifth for the 70s instances) feel free to send me a tell to see if I'm available

Personally, I've seen most of the old content, but wouldn't mind going back to some of it occasionally just for amusement.  I'd really like to see the rest of Naxxramas and C'Thun, but those two probably take a more numerous and organized group.

I look forward to seeing you guys more in game.

    Re: Post-BC Tourism

I hit 70.  I am ready to start with these.

I believe the UD Horse from UD Strat looks identical to the elite UD mount, so it is not so exciting.  The tider from ZG on the other hand is awesome.  Makes me want to level my troll mage again.

    Re: Post-BC Tourism

ZG is a bunch of fun and absolutely gorgeous.  It is also where we will get Morch this: Turtle .  So how many 70's would we need to run ZG?  Of course non-70's could accompany as well.

    Re: Post-BC Tourism

I'm not sure how many it would take, but not that many.  I experimented a little the other day because I was curious and happened to notice with /who that there were a few people already in there.

A group consisting of 4 strangers (all guilded together) and myself (70 rogue, 70 paladin, 70 hunter, 59 hunter, and my 70 druid) seemed to be able to handle the trash okay, except one time when we got a bunch of evades.  Blooddrinkers were a bit of a trick because we didn't have fast enough dps for them and the 2 standing just kept stealing life from each other.  This was solved by taunting one and pulling it out of LOS at which point they were killed rapidly in succession.  In a later part of the experiment (after the others left) I found that I could solo a snake, but with 2 snakes (the pull right by the stairs) the second killed me.

As for boss killing: Spider should probably have 2 tanks and the same with Bloodlord Mandikor.  I always did Tiger with 4 tanks, but I'm sure that 2 of those could be shamans (regardless of spec) or even rogues. Hakkar needs 2 tanks, Jindo needs 2 tanks or 1 druid tank (because of polymorphing).  2 healers should be able to keep up with everyone fine, but one may have problems in some of the more gimicky boss fights (like Bloodlord).  Then you want some dps also.

A full clear probably requires at least 7-8 or very careful class choice because of the boss fights. 10 could probably fly through there if they are in level 70 blues.

    That's my guess.

    Re: Post-BC Tourism

If I remember correctly...you can do full clears with 10-12, no problem...but you guys need to get the Fish Boss up...which requires the mudskunks and having done the quest from Pagel's Point inside of ZG.  Technically...you don't need to do any other bosses to do the Fish Boss.

    Enjoy :D

    Re: Post-BC Tourism

We need to post a poll about where people want to go.

However, in the meantime, I'd like to schedule something for...say...Saturday at 1pm?  ZG?
